(WXIN) - Fans of Wendy’s breakfast will soon have some new options for the morning.The fast-food chain will launch a pair of English muffin breakfast sandwiches next week.The new offerings include a “one-of-a-kind savory buttery spread.” They’re topped with a fresh-cracked egg, melted cheese and your choice of Applewood smoked bacon or a grilled sausage patty.(Photo via The Wendy's Company)The new English muffins hit restaurants nationwide starting Aug. 22 during breakfast hours. Wendy’s said it tested 60 variations of the breakfast sandwich before landing on the right combination. (WJW) – The first day of fall isn't until Sept. 23, but already, pumpkin spice lovers are on the hunt for their favorite coffee flavor pick-me-up.Starbucks and Dunkin' are perhaps the most popular chain coffee places to promote the beloved flavor each year. But, according to online menus at both Starbucks and Dunkin', Pumpkin Spice season isn't here yet.There is, though, one growing coffee chain that is already in the spirit. What is bed rotting? Pumpkin Spice fans can currently get their fix at the Human Bean. According to the company's website, the chain's "Festival of Spice" has arrived with featured drinks such as Fireside Chai, Pumpkin Snowy, and Cinnamon Toast Snow.If you're eager to get your hands on one, Human Bean has around 150 locations across the country. CHICAGO — He wasn't born in the city, but Chicago has become a special place to one of the actors who is in the middle of a busy summer of films.David Dastmalchian, who grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania but went to college at DePaul University, talked about what Chicago means to him in this edition of "Dean's A-List Interview" as he stars in "The Last Voyage of the Demeter," which was released last Friday. This comes after he was also in the hit movie "Oppenheimer" from Christopher Nolan, which was released in July. BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WPIX) – One person died and another was seriously injured after falling from the top floor of a New York apartment building while trying to escape a fire Monday afternoon, fire officials said.The fire happened at a six-story apartment building in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn around 2 p.m., according to the New York City Fire Department.FDNY Deputy Chief Jim Carney said there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the top floor of the apartment building when firefighters arrived. Panhandler stabbed man, 76, near Manhattan subway station: NYPD Witnesses told Nexstar's WPIX that they watched two men dangle from the top floor in an attempt to escape the fire before falling to the ground below."The guy was yelling, 'It's fire here, it's fire here.' AUSTIN (KXAN) — The City of Austin said it would move to Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan Tuesday, as water levels on Lake Travis and Lake Buchanan continue to drop.A press release from the city last week said the combined storage level in the lakes was projected to drop below 900,000 acre-feet within a few days. LOUIS - A man from Florissant pleaded guilty to robbing three banks and shooting at Jefferson County deputies.31-year-old Cameron Thomas dressed as a woman when he robbed the 'First State Community' Bank in October 2020. He came back the next day, trying to rob the same bank. St. Louis Zoo unveils new attractions Police chased Thomas into High Ridge, which led to a shootout with deputies. He then forced his way into a woman's apartment and held her at gunpoint until he was finally arrested.Thomas had been convicted of another robbery in 2012. One person was killed in an overnight crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in northeast Denver near the intersection of Peoria Street and Interstate 70, delaying traffic.Denver Police were investigating this fatal crash in the area of East 39th Avenue and Paris Street, according to an agency posting on X, the social media site formerly called Twitter.
