ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — All-Star slugger Adolis García, the American League leader with 100 RBIs, will be placed on the 10-day injured list by the playoff-contending and slumping Texas Rangers after an MRI on Thursday revealed a patellar tendon strain in his right knee.General manager Chris Young said García won’t need surgery and that the team is “cautiously optimistic” he might be able to return this season for the Rangers, who have 23 regular-season games left. The GM didn’t provide a definite timetable. “We won’t know that for certain until the next week to 10 days as we kind of see how the healing and inflammation responds,” Young said. “Nonetheless, it was not a rupture, which we were fearful of. So I think that was good news all things considered, and we’ll will remain hopeful that he can return.”Texas is going to call up top prosect outfielder Evan Carter, and he will join the team for the opener of a weekend series at home against Oakland on Friday night. Young said the tea...

Ebrard desafía la unidad en Morena y el liderazgo de López Obrador

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 09:32:01 GMT

CINCINNATI (AP) — Ruixin Liu of China was still suffering from allergies that forced her to withdraw from the LPGA Tour event last week. It didn’t stop her from posting a 7-under 65 on Thursday for her best round of the year and a one-shot lead in the Kroger Queen City Championship.Liu started so well that her lone regret was a par on the 12th hole when she hit her approach to 18 feet on the par 5 and three-putted for a par. She had seven birdies through 13 holes and then closed with five pars.Liu had a one-shot lead on the Kendale course at Kenwood Country Club over Peiyun Chien, Elizabeth Szokol, short-hitting Dottie Ardina and Linnea Strom. Liu reached the par-5 second hole for a two-putt birdie, made a 15-foot birdie on the next hole and then it all felt easy.“From that point on the putter is just rolling great,” Liu said. “I pretty much made everything except for hole No. 12. That’s the only bad hole I played today, because my second shot was only like 18 feet for e...

If you’re thirsty for some new music, let Gabby B fill your cup. She just dropped a new track that celebrates a particular part of the female anatomy. Which part are we talking about? Deco’s Alex Miranda has never wanted to answer a question more. The eyes, the hair and the derriere have all inspired songwriters, but now, translated into English, the title of Gabby B’s new song is “Milk.”Gabby B (singing): “The way that I’m movin’ my body, I see that it’s turning you on, set the world on fire.”The song’s called “Leche,” and Gabby B wrote it because she felt another area of a woman’s body was getting too much attention.Gabby B: “There’s so many songs about booty, you know, dancing, twerking, and I’m like, ‘Why can’t we do a song about boobs?'”Fair enough. “Leche” is a collaboration between Gabby and another local artist, Pitbull protégée Vikina. The lyrics...
